Created & Made by WILDA.ECO

Committed to advancing self-sufficiency and innovation, WILDA.ECO embraces the challenge of crafting within our Wilda district studio, to the fullest extent. Our mission involves creating components that define the essence of our garments.

In a world keen on outsourcing, WILDA.ECO stands out by bringing the creation process home. Every step, from design sketches to the final stitch, is infused with our team’s attention and dedication. Our approach is not born from a desire for control but a profound connection to the pieces we create and share with you.

Our venture into producing 100% natural, vegan shoulder pads was born from a discernible void in the global market. Refusing to compromise our principles, we embarked on a path of designing and handcrafting these essentials in-house, ensuring every piece meets our high standards for quality and comfort and aligns with our deep-rooted commitment to sustainability.

Our embroidery machine hums with the energy of enriching every piece with a customer’s personal touch in the most sustainable and ethical way. By managing the entire process under one roof, we ensure nothing goes to waste. This scrupulous resource management allows us to respond directly to demand, eliminating overproduction and its consequent wastage.

Packaging, often an afterthought in the industry, receives our full attention. All products are beautifully enveloped in single-material, grass paper packaging.

This approach is about more than just making things. It’s about forging a new standard of transparency and integrity in the fashion industry. Each piece we offer is a narrative of creativity, innovation, and unwavering ethical standards crafted by hands devoted to delivering unmatched quality without compromising the earth.

Shoulder pads & sleeve heads - in-house invention

Our shoulder pads are both designed and made in-house. They combine European linen from Lower Silesia, Poland, with organic Japanese bamboo wadding manufactured in Kyoto, Japan, conceived in London, and made of bamboo grown in the Kyoto region. The linen, known for its durability and breathability, is woven from flax grown in France and Poland. The bamboo wadding, chosen for its softness and antibacterial properties, enhances the comfort and quality of our designs.

Our skilled team stitches these components together with TENCEL™ Lyocell thread, sandwiching one or two varying-weight bamboo waddings (depending on the model) between two layers of European linen of varying weight and structure to achieve the perfect balance of softness and support.
Our sleeve heads, crafted from the same premium organic bamboo wadding, complete the set, providing unmatched softness and structure to our garments. When incorporated into the Norrmalm blazer, the shoulder pads and sleeve heads are firmly stitched to ensure they stay put and do not shift within the garment.

Recognising the universal need for sustainable tailoring solutions, we’ve made both the shoulder pads and the sleeve heads available for separate purchase, offering a comprehensive tailoring solution that aligns with conscious, sustainable fashion principles.

Embroidery - your conscious narrative

In a world where uniqueness is not just appreciated but sought after, WILDA.ECO excels in the realm of personalised fashion. Our bespoke embroidery service transforms each garment into a narrative, reflecting the individual’s essence intertwined with our commitment to responsible fashion. The nature of our embroidery allows for an infinite array of combinations, ensuring that each piece is as unique as the individual who wears it.

The skilful craftsmanship of our embroidery is executed in-house, in the heart of the historic Wilda district of Poznań, European Union. This strategic choice to centralise our embroidery operations stems from a dedication to maintaining unmatched quality and personalisation in every stitch. Utilising the precision of the Husqvarna-Viking® machine and coupling it with environmentally sustainable TENCEL™ lyocell thread, made in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, we craft embroideries that are not only stunning but gentle on the planet. The thread is accredited with Oeko-Tex 100 and Lenzing certifications, highlighting its eco-friendly manufacturing process.

The Norrmalm blazer showcases a duo of embroideries – one on the back of the collar, open to personalisation and the other inside at shoulder level, presenting our brand’s core values. The Södermalm trousers feature a singular embroidery on the rear left pocket that can also be personalised, tailoring your ensemble to your style. Our artisanal approach, focused on individual touch, extends to embroidering brand sew-in labels and unique serial numbers, elevating each garment to slow, quiet luxury, transcending traditional fashion confines.

In the spirit of delivering unparalleled value and refinement, we take immense pride in announcing that all our embroideries – whether personalised or customised – are offered free of extra charge.

WILDA.ECO Trousers Södermalm Vin Rouge: magenta button and bias tape

Bias tape & artisanal trimming

In creating our unique garments, the art of hand-cutting bias tape and trimming represents a pinnacle of craftsmanship that only a master tailor possesses.

Unable to find a sustainable bias tape that met our rigorous standards, we decided to create our own by repurposing our Bemberg™ cupro lining, woven with precision in Lombardy, Italy. This not only minimizes waste but also enhances the garment’s visual appeal. We’ve transformed this high-quality fabric into hand-cut bias tape, an essential yet often overlooked component, carefully crafted to uphold our commitment to sustainability and excellence. The choice of Bemberg™ cupro, with its origins tracing back to Japan, is intentional, prioritising both tactile luxury and eco-consious decisions.

The trimming process involves reinforcing all internal seams with interlining and securing them with overlocking to prevent fraying. Furthermore, most external seams undergo topstitching, strengthening the construction. These critical steps are particularly vital given the delicate nature of TENCEL™ lyocell fabric, ensuring the garment’s longevity.

A testament to the skill involved, each Södermalm trouser leg features expertly hand-fell stitched cuffs, creating a clean finish without a visible seam line and visually elongating the leg.

Unlike mass-produced alternatives, our garments offer a tangible connection to the tradition of tailoring, where every cut and stitch tells a story of dedication, aesthetic excellence and artistry. This unique approach ensures that our products stand the test of time, reflecting the heritage of tailoring and a steadfast commitment to environmental responsibility.
