Hyperlocal production

Rooted deeply in the vibrant, historic district of Wilda in the city of Poznań, Poland, European Union, our manufacturing process is a testament to our commitment to hyperlocal craftsmanship. Every piece, from the Norrmalm blazer to the Södermalm trousers, is handmade by our team and entrusted to skilled tailors with decades of experience, all within a community that thrives on mutual respect and cooperation.

Our hyperlocal production model is not just a statement; it’s a purposeful choice. By confining our operations within a 3km radius – an approach unique for such complex products as our suits – we ensure that all stages of production, from design to packaging and dispatching, leave the smallest carbon footprint possible. Our materials are transported between locations by the most eco-friendly means available: on foot, by tram, or by bike, underscoring our commitment to sustainability. Moreover, all our materials are vegan, organic, biodegradable, and, whenever feasible, sourced from European suppliers using European raw materials. For those components that challenge our strict standards, we take the initiative to design and make them in-house, guaranteeing full compliance with our ethical guidelines.

In aligning with our core values, we ensure that our operations bolster the local economy, support the flourishing of local artisans, and uphold ethical employment practices with fair compensation. This communal approach nurtures the connections within the diverse city of Poznań and our beloved Wilda district, our home and workplace, a place we hold dear and feel accountable for.

By choosing WILDA.ECO, you become part of a movement that values the precise craftsmanship of Poznań’s artisans, the preservation of our planet, and the ethical treatment of all individuals involved in the process. We believe transparency is the cornerstone of trust and integrity in the fashion industry, and we are proud to share every step of our journey with you.

Artisans

A dedicated ensemble of artisans is at the heart of our Transparent Origin story. Our collaboration with these skilled individuals, rooted in the vibrant community of Poznań, echoes our commitment to revitalising local craftsmanship while upholding our minimalist carbon footprint.

Central to our operations in the Wilda district of Poznań is Dorota, an artisanal tailor with decades of expertise. Her atelier is a testament to local craftsmanship’s prowess and finesse, setting the standard for bespoke, conscious fashion. Her guidance and patience have been instrumental in navigating the complex demands of our vision, crafting garments that are not only luxurious but steeped in responsibility.

Magda and Kinga, our esteemed pattern designers, are integral to our design process and have masterfully tackled the formidable challenge of creating the Norrmalm blazer and Södermalm trousers. Their expertise was pivotal in navigating the complexities of crafting 20 prototypes for each piece, a feat made all the more remarkable considering the expansive range of 45 sizes necessary for our made-to-order model.

Rekami.pl, a local Wilda artisan workshop led by Sylwia, has brought an invaluable addition to our eco-conscious brand with their expertly crafted wooden stamps. Utilising their specialised equipment and mastery in creating custom designs, Rekami.pl has enabled us to beautifully personalise our grass-paper packaging and highlight its eco-friendly attributes, making each customer’s unboxing experience truly special.

Acknowledgement is also due to Kuba, whose embroidery expertise enabled us to venture into personalised detailing, a rare find in today’s market. Although Kuba’s studio is no longer, his influence endures in our pursuit of perfection in embroidery, now an in-house skill that further asserts our commitment to crafting unique, meaningful pieces.

Each relationship we foster with Poznań artisans is grounded in mutual respect, fair compensation, and a shared vision for a more sustainable and ethical future. This synergy between local craftsmanship and ethical practices defines us, demonstrating what fashion can and should be – a force for good without compromise.

Our digital presence, imbued with the same sophistication and elegance as our garments, was crafted in collaboration with Joanna Tujdowska, a UX/UI designer hailing from Poznań.
